COME ON DASHNER, STOP PROVING ME WRONG! Every time I am sure that Dashner could not become any more successful (I thought that ceiling was hit when his famous series Maze Runner got its adult hood as a film) he makes me feel rude by giving me this.
Honestly, I was depressed to see the arrival of The Kill Order, because I knew that meant the end of the Maze Runner Series and what I deemed to be a book that smashed any previous thoughts I had as to the greats of writing. However, Dashner made my job tremendously easy by giving me a whole new series to love...The Eye of Minds.
Micheal, along with his friends Bryson and Sarah, enter a world of uncomprehending reality, and show the limitless bounds of technology. In Lifeblood, players are able to live as if they were in real life, but without the penalty of death, or so they thought. As players begin to disappear, and the arrival of a new god to the gaming realm, Kane, Micheal and his friends must execute a plan to stop the fiend before he continue to commit terrorism like acts on the virtual world. Unfortunately for them, Kane has special twists and catches to the game, that even the greatest hackers in the world cannot seem to break.
It would be an insult to Dashner to give this book anything less than a 10/10. When I saw this book at the book store, I pushed people out of the way when I saw the name Dashner scrawled across the spine. If you had told me that the book was even better than I perceived it to be, I would have laughed because I could not have been happier. I was wrong (thanks Dashner!), and find myself in the extraordinary position to present the new Olympian of the writing world, James Dashner. Should I meet him in person, I will thank him for providing me and the country with some of the best written material since J.K. Rowling, and congratulate him on overcoming the one obstacle all of us writers wish to achieve, adult hood. I gauge adult hood, myself, as having one of your books become a movie, and have it smash box office records, as I have no doubt this one will do so. If you have twenty bucks next to you or an e-reader, BUY THIS BOOK NOW! I cannot brag enough on this masterpiece of literature. You think that you have read classics before, this one ought to enter that realm as well as Dashner going down in history as one of the most influential authors of our time.
